125 Years of Tradition

Christmas midnight Mass 2010 was celebrated exactly 125 years after the first Mass at Saint Colman of Cloyne. Because the new altar was not finished in time, the first Mass in the newly restored church was offered ad orientem, just as our ancestors in the Faith would have done.

The new altar was consecrated by Bishop Garland in a sublime and seldom witnessed rite on the morning of June 12, 2011.
